Philippians 2:1-7
Being united with Christ brings us together and unifies us with other like-minded Christians. The danger we face, is that the older we get and the more educated we become, we can build soapboxes to stand on, destroying our unity and joy. Significance in God’s kingdom is often founded upon two principles, humility and sacrifice and that is what Paul is calling us to here.

When we understand the bigger perspective/picture of our situations, it often can give us endurance and joy to work through whatever it is that we are up against. It also often gives us a different vision for how to live our lives and what to aim our lives towards.

We find joy when we look back and consider the work that God has done in us and through us. As we consider the historical work of Christ, our hearts will grow with gratitude and appreciation and in turn our perspective and attitudes for the present realities we face can change. The value of living in Intergenerational community, is that we can be reminded of the past, while looking at our present realities and looking forward to the future of what God has for us.
We launch with good intentions but then life happens and motives get questioned. Which road will we choose to go down when life in the family isn't going the way we assumed it would?

What a fine balance of moving with your children from the early years into the teenage years and launching them into adulthood. What are some of those key principles that help make the teenage years a time of healthy development and wise decision making skills? As adults we are all influencers in this.
