When God invited Joshua to be strong and courageous, his ability to step forward towards that came from an awareness of the character and nature of a God who was faithful, merciful and who fulfilled the promises He had made to the people of Israel. Similarly, when we look at life today, a blessed reality that we live with is that we worship that same God who is the same yesterday, today and forever.\
