kids ministries

All of our KidZone areas use the D6 Curriculum for their corresponding age levels. We believe this provides parents the best opportunity to partner with the church in Bible learning. Each child will learn the same theme/story at their level so families can discuss and learn together.

Nursery (0-3 years)

KidZone Nursery is helping children develop their first formal impression of their Father God. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the nursery and help us create a warm and loving first impression of church for our youngest learners.

For those who like a calm place to nurse your infant during the service, we offer a quiet area to breastfeed. Please feel free to use the chairs in the nursery where you can relax and feed your baby.

Preschool (Ages 3 - Kindergarten)

KidZone preschool is a fun and creative environment where kids get to learn about God’s love and truths in a hands on way. Sessions include a variety of elements: music, bible stories, crafts, active games, play and snack time.

We are THE place to be for preschoolers at UDAC on Sundays

Elementary (Grades 1-5)

KidZone Elementary focuses on three teaching elements: Old Testament, New Testament and special topics (eg. grace, marriage, etc.) that help equip and instill Biblical truths and values into their lives as their leaders disciple and encourage them in their relationship with Jesus. Mornings include a creative large group time and a small group time with a consistent group of peers and leaders.

Screened Volunteers

Because children are very valuable to both God and us, all of our staff are screened for their suitability to work with children.  Our volunteers have been referenced, interviewed and screened with a criminal history check (Lethbridge City Police), and an Investigation Record Check (Alberta Children’s Services).
Our staff are also trained with our Plan to Protect policies on how to conduct themselves with children in our programs.

Justine Dueck is our Children and Family Ministry Coordinator.

UDAC YOUTH

Here are UDAC we believe that students are not only the future of Christ’s church but they are the church now! Youth is a central and critical value of UDAC. UDAC Youth exists all because of and all for Jesus! Our purpose is simply an extension of the purpose our church exists: to REACH, TEACH and EQUIP youth to KNOW, LOVE and SERVE God. We believe strongly in discipleship and equipping youth to move forward in their relationship with Jesus.

WHO ATTENDS UDAC YOUTH?

Students in grade 6 -12 are invited to attend youth! Students will be presented with opportunities to build relationships with the entire group of students, but also given opportunity and encouraged to connect with students in their own age demographic as well. We will from time to time have events that are geared directly at Junior High Youth – students in grade 6 (or going into grade 6 as of Fall of this year) to grade 8 – or events that are directed at our Senior High Students – students in grade 9 (or going into grade 9 as of Fall of this year) to grade 12 (grade 12’s are welcomed).

WHEN DO WE MEET?

Fridays at 7:00pm - 9:00pm at the church. Youth are asked to sign in at the beginning of the evening. Parents are asked to come in and pick up their student at the close of the evening.

Connect with REACH:

Are you a young adult in Lethbridge? Want to know more about REACH young adult ministries at UDAC? At REACH, we value personal, face to face, person to person connection. That is why I want to encourage you, whether you are new or a regular part of our community, to call or send me an email:

Justine Dueck, Young Adults Coordinator
403-381-7171

I would be more than happy to answer any questions on what REACH is all about, and how you can get connected with REACH. Feel free to take a look at the rest of our page to discover more about what we do at our Young Adults Ministry at University Drive Alliance Church.

What do we focus on?

Connecting

This is where we hope to plan events that lead to the development of friendships. This is the most ‘basic’ aspect of our focus, but it is crucial in developing deeper relationships with both each other and with God! Once a month we eat (free!!) dinner together by meeting at 6:30 and then playing a game. This is a perfect night to invite friends!

Growing

Once a month worship and teach nights. (7-9 pm)
Our theme for the year is BE VIBRANT. This is coming from Jesus’ promise of full life in John 10:10: “I have come so that you may have life to the fullest.”

Outreach

We want to reach others with the truth and love of God. We plan events that will intentionally reach our community, especially the University Students, mostly with offering free food! We host Pancake Breakfasts once a semester and serve our University Students in their last week of classes. We also run a Parking pass BBQ to bless our University students with some parking passes (and food!) at the church in September. Part of our outreach events also include our “service nights” that happen twice a year.

Discipleship

“And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the EQUIPPING of the saints for the work of service, to the BUILDING UP of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13

Equip Nights: Once a month we dive into a different topic in a “coffee house” style night. We meet in the foyer and go through topics such as: learning to read your bible, deepening your prayer life, managing your finances in a biblical way, etc.

Bible Study: This year we are going to have a Men’s small group Bible Study and a Women’s small group Bible study. Our Women’s Bible study meets on Tuesday Nights at 6:30pm. They are studying 1 & 2 Corinthians this year. For the address of where they are meeting – e-mail Justine! Our men’s bible study is going to study Philippians this year. TBA when and where they will be meeting.

prayer ministry

We do nothing without praying first.

We are a church that prays first and then proceeds.  With this in mind, we believe that it is critical to get on our knees before Jesus and bring the matters of the Church to Him.  Prayer is a powerful tool in our arsenal and as a Church we want to be prayerful in all things.

Our Prayer Ministry meets on Thursday Nights at 7PM.  This is an evening where different people come together to share requests and then pray for matters of the Church, our International Workers and other matters of God’s Kingdom.  This is an open group and everyone is invited to come Thursdays to pray together.

We also use prayer cards which are found in the seat backs and at the Information Desk to share our prayer requests.  These cards are confidentially given to the Prayer Ministry and are prayed for, for 3 weeks. Just fill out the form below.

small groups

Small groups are gatherings that take place weekly throughout the city. These groups are designed to help you stay connected and strengthened in your walk with God. Here at University Drive Alliance Church our small groups can be based on interests, devotions, or books. Any night of the week you can find various groups meeting in homes, gyms and coffee shops. We welcome you to join one!

God Renewing Our Women

Helping women grow in community within the church and out into our neighborhoods.

Wondering if GROW events are for you?

Women [wim-in], by definition are adult females (18 years old and older).

If you match this criteria, then yes, GROW events are designed for you.

We have a desire to see our church family and ladies ministries grow.

We want to see ladies come together to find fellowship, grow and learn from each other and to serve our families and community.

We desire to see our sisters growing in the knowledge of who they are in Christ and to share with others what God is doing in their lives to support and encourage each other. We hope to see women of all ages and walks of life coming together to learn, laugh and serve.

Some of our ongoing events include a Thursday morning Bible study called GROW in the Word, Retreats in the Spring months and Simulcasts in the fall months. Periodically we will host special ladies only evenings so keep your eyes on the calendar for our upcoming events!

We would love to hear from you if you have ideas or want to volunteer to help! Please feel free to email our team at anytime.
