Children

KidZone Nursery (Birth – 2 Yrs.)

Our nursery ministry operates throughout the service for newborns through 36 month old children.  We love to play and hang out with babies.  Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the nursery and help us create a warm, loving, first impression of church for our youngest learners.  “Our KidZone storyteller joins us through the morning to tell Bible stories and sing our special KidZone worship songs!  You don’t want to miss it!

Nursing

For those who like a calm place to nurse your infant during the service we offer a quiet area to breastfeed. Please feel free to use the Family Area in the Fellowship Hall, you can watch/listen to the service, relax and feed your baby!

KidZone Pre-School (3 yrs. – K)

We are helping preschoolers develop their first formal impression of their Father God.  Important stuff!  Our teaching units focus on three main truths:  God made me.  God loves me.  Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

In light of these Biblical truths, every unit explores a new Bible story.  Our teaching hour includes a variety of elements: music, Bible stories, art, crafts, active games, play and snack time.

We are THE place to be for preschoolers at UDAC on Sundays.

KidZone Elementary (Gr. 1-5)

We want to help our kids grow in knowing, loving, and serving Jesus.  We want our elementary kids to grow in three areas:

• WISDOM (I need to make the wise choice),
• FAITH (I can trust God no matter what)
• FRIENDSHIP (I should treat others the way I want to be treated).

KidZone Elementary mornings include large group time (Bible Story, worship, large group activities) and a small group time with a consistent group of peers.

Screened Volunteers

Because children are very valuable to both God and us, all of our staff are screened for their suitability to work with children.  Our volunteers have been referenced, interviewed and screened with a criminal history check (Lethbridge City Police), and an Investigation Record Check (Alberta Children’s Services).�
Our staff are also trained with our Plan to Protect policies on how to conduct themselves with children in our programs.
